Moore Landrey LLP represented plaintiffs in this wrongful termination case. The firm secured obtained a global settlement of $6,500,000.00.

FLSA - Failure to Pay Overtime

The Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) states that if an employee works more than 40 hours in a workweek, their employer is required to pay premium pay (time and a half) for all time worked over 40 hours. The overtime laws apply to nearly every Texas employer and are strictly enforced by the courts, although there are a few exceptions for white collar employees and certain professional and administrative employees.
